Limeslade

Limeslade is a small, peaceful cove near Mumbles, located below the western edge of the clifftop car park between Bracelet Bay and Langland Bay. This narrow pebble beach in Swansea is accessed by well-maintained concrete steps that lead down between dramatic limestone cliffs to the shoreline below.


Known for its tranquility and scenic setting, Limeslade feels surprisingly secluded despite its easy access and nearby parking. The beach is mainly pebbly, but patches of sand appear at low tide, making it a pleasant spot for exploring, relaxing and enjoying the coastal views across the Bristol Channel.



Coastal Walks from Limeslade on the Wales Coast Path

Limeslade is an excellent starting point for coastal walks on the Wales Coast Path. Walkers can head west towards Langland Bay, Caswell Bay and further along the Gower Peninsula, or east towards Bracelet Bay, Mumbles Beach and Swansea Bay. The elevated path offers some of the best coastal scenery near Swansea, with panoramic sea views throughout.



A Hidden Beach Near Mumbles

Because many visitors admire the view from above, the beach itself often remains quiet, making Limeslade one of the best hidden beaches near Mumbles. With its dramatic cliffs, peaceful atmosphere and direct access to the Gower coast, Limeslade Bay is a perfect destination for walkers, photographers and those looking to escape the crowds.
